W1D2 of C25K... and garbage. LOTS of garbage.

Today's a day off from running (does that still count as day 2?), but I did hit up a cycling class (after yesterday's awesome combat class, I've decided to try out a new fitness class every day this week). It wasn't the greatest class (I was spoiled by an amazing instructor at my old YMCA), but my heart rate monitor still recorded 700 cals for the workout.

got home to find that my roommate's two dogs had overturned the entire trash can (see below) and left the kitchen floor COVERED with wall-to-wall garbage. Almost cried out of frustration, but then took a picture and just started cracking up-- cuz what else can you do in these situations? My roomie is gone on an overnight business trip, and I think the dogs are ticked at her (or me, haha).

how much do you want to bet that i WOULD have cried if i had not just returned from a sweaty, heart-pumping workout?

this doesn't even show the whole mess.... there were coffee grinds/banana peels/egg shells all over the living room carpet.

(notice that the food bowl remains untouched??) hahaha.

Dog crate is my best investment this year. My dog has major separation anxiety and will tear the house up and pee on anything he can find (not to mention barking at an insane decibel level that surprisingly dogs AND human neighbors can hear). Not to long ago I made the mistake of giving him a break and came home to the equivalent of that picture in a much more unpleasant and stanky form. Carpet shampooer anyone?

Oh man! That reminds me of a few times I've come home to see the surprises my dog leaves for me. Thankfully it was never THAT bad...I hope you got everything all up!
