Already and Not Yet

That's where I am. I've already lost almost 20 pounds but I'm not yet happy with how I look. Actually, I thought I was until I walked toward a three-way mirror in the Target dressing room last night. I absolutely did not like how my upper thighs jiggled and chubbed. I don't have a full length mirror at home (probably a good thing) and I was wearing workout shorts, which was a bit of a mistake in public. It was just more than I needed to see.

Earlier in the day, I did my monthly measurements and was so excited because I've lost 4 inches off my waist. The incident at Target was totally depressing but I'm trying really hard to focus on how far I've come already...and only wear those shorts at home!

I agree about 3 way mirrors - they are only meant for models and very skinny people! Other wise they are mean and not needed! As said, focus on the positive, losing 4 inches in your waist is incredible!!! emoticon emoticon That represents a lot of good, hard work, and you should really be proud of yourself! I am! Keep up the good work!

Know that I continue to pray for you daily. You are truly blessed to be a blessing to others. God bless you,
    Love, your sister in Christ,

Just keep focusing on how far you've come! Every bit of progress IS progress, and it's so easy to be negative. Treat yourself like you would your best friend, and DON'T beat yourself up. I'm convinced that dressing room mirrors are extra-mean anyway. KUDOS! emoticon
