WISH ME LUCK....

Sunday, July 11, 2010

I HAVE BEEN ON A PLATEAU NOW FOR THE LAST 4 WEEKS. TOMORROW IS MY WEEKLY WEIGH IN AND IF MY SNEAK PREVIEW ON THE SCALE IS ANY INDICATION, I WILL NOT BE BREAKING IT TOMORROW. HAVING SAID THAT, I TRIED TO TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TODAY TO REAFFIRM MY DETERMINATION TO CONTINUE DOING WHAT I AM DOING AND NOT GIVE UP. I HAVE TRIED VARYING MY CALORIE RANGE AND WORKOUT ROUTINE. I KNOW EVENTUALLY THE SCALE IS GOING TO START MOVING AGAIN. I DID PULL OUT THE TAPE MEASURE TODAY AND HAVE LOST SOME INCHES. NOW I AM LOOKING FOR THE SCALE TO REWARD ME FOR MY EFFORTS.

Losing inches is more important than weight actually. That is if you are eating healthy (whole foods) and exercising daily.

Remember this is Lifestyle, not diet.

Don't let that scale ruin your day. Focus on those inches! Have you ever tried the workout dvd by Jillian Michaels "Banish Fat and Boost Metabolism" or the "30 Day Shred"? These are good plateau buster workouts with the high intensity segments. I swear I lost .5 lbs every time I did the Banish Fat one in the beginning.

Okay, so I just read your message board post about your back surgery and knees......sorry to hear that. You probably would not like these dvds with all the high impact. Maybe you could do some weight training for a boost?

best of luck tomorrow with your weekly weigh-in! and congratulations on those lost inches - they are indicative that you are moving forward even if the scale is slow to move back. i'm sending along a "woo-hoo!" in preparation for tomorrow's success! emoticon
