I'm still losing, between one and two pounds a week, steadily and without feeling deprived. I found that my body just won't lose weight at the calories recommended by SP, so I cut them down a little bit (about 130 a day). My metabolism is SO slow, and has been slowing down ever since my late 30's. Now, more than 35 years later, I've just accepted that I can't consume as many calories as other people, and with that acceptance comes ... what??? ....maybe the motivation to eat fewer calories, smaller portions, lower calorie foods so I still feel satisfied. I'm certainly not eating LESS food, just different foods. Gone are sugar, white flour, processed foods, cocktails (not as difficult as I thought). My main diet hasn't changed all that much, since I've always eaten a lot of organic foods, fruit, veggies, whole grains, lean meats. I think the difference is that I stopped : eating chocolate (it's what I miss the most), full fat and sugar ice cream, a lot of cheese, bigger portions, and eating in front of the TV all evening long. AND it helps to listen to Jon Gabriel's motivational CD. And doing interval workouts instead of longer, boring ones.
Well, that's what's working for me. and I'm writing this so I can come back and remind myself of what works if I should stop losing.
