Need a big kick.....

Friday, July 09, 2010

I need a big kick in the butt to get me motivated to do as good as I was doing a few months ago! I know what i need to be doing, just can't get myself to be doing it!! I was on such a roll before I hurt my foot, which is now totally healed.
Got to get energized and motivated again before I blow my chance at making 2010 my year to reach my goals!!!!!

Now look at you, 2 years later!!!
I'm really glad I decided to check out some of the blogs of people who have been on here for a few years. Although I've been doing (mostly) good with my nutrition, i've been lagging on the exercise, and for some reason I feel better seeing that other people struggled at different points too but still managed to get back on board and do amazing things!

Never say 'die'! As long as you have the desire, it will come to you. Know THAT and translate it into your life.

Small steps and one day at a time, you'll get back your motivation!
Won't send a kick, instead will send you a hug! emoticon

Go back to the small steps, and work on streaks! You'll get right back into the swing!

OMG...I'm experiencing that too! Guess once the 'honeymoon' stage ended, I fell off the wagon. I know exactly how you're feeling.

Here's a swift kick for you (and me)... emoticon

I think the 10 minute challenge is a good one too...I will commit if you will (or BE committed?...hee, hee).

Drink plenty of water...I goof up on this some days too...why do I sabotage myself?????? (especially when we know better)

Here's to getting that emoticon off our shoulders and listening to emoticon our angelic, obedient selves more!

Here's to us... emoticon

It's back to the SP 10 minute rule for you! Do SOMETHING for at least 10 minutes each day. Your inner Spark will magically come back and help you want to do 15, then 20 minutes and on & on.

Here's the magic motivational SP fairy dust being sprinkled all over you:D

Would a challenge do it? I need the same thing - I want to loose 20 more pounds and Keep them off. Lost 10 and found them again. So I'm on a mission to loose one pound a week - Very doable.
Trying to do at least 10 minutes of strength training either something very physical outside - ie shoveling gravel and tossing buckets of it or the Fit, Firm and Fired Up video - she has one 10 minute routine for each day focusing on different areas. Muscle burns more calories even when sleeping than fat does.
Maybe ~ we can set a small goal that when we each achieve X - then we'll drive to meet each other for an afternoon somewhere in-between Pittsburgh and Cleveland (?). How's that for a reward!?!? We've discussed that last fall/winter - we can make it happen!

I'm not sure why but more people, myself included, have been struggling this year.

Let's turn it around now and make our goals realities.

Pick one thing, the food or the exercise and focus on that. If you're eating better than you'll want to move more since you'll have more energy. If you're exercising you'll want to eat better to fuel the exercise. They need each other to work and now they need you to pick your starting point. Just do it!

" The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step". Set a small goal and do it. For example, tell yourself " Tomorrow I am going to walk for 30 minutes". Get your clothes together and make time and do it. Once you get started then it gets a little easier to do it.Keep adding your goals until you are back. I know how you feel.I am there often. It really is hard to get youself started again. I have confidence that you will. You see, you don't really need a kick in the butt, just a "SPARK" nudge.
