Thoughts on becoming a "senior citizen".

Thursday, July 08, 2010

Today I turned the magic number of 55..AARP wants me in their ranks, Bob Evans will let me eat from a special menu, etc. I look on this age as a start for some reassessment of my goals. of what I want to make a better, healthier me.
As I continue on mt Spark journey, I see the changes in my lifestyle I have made, and the changes I need to make. I wish I had made the changes in my life 20 years ago, but as they say, "if wishes were horses....". I am enjoying the changes in me that have occured because of Sparkpeople, but I also realize that I am a work in progress, because I am growing older (definitely), and growing wiser (maybe). I am glad I am able to handle becoming a "senior" because of the changes in my fitness and diet.

I will continue to...

Keep on Sparkin'!

Go to the movies and use their "Senior Discount", unfortunately they don't have one at the snack bar. emoticon

I can say in all honesty that you look a darned sight younger at 55 than you did at 53! Well done for Sparking yourself towards this new stage of life.
