Weigh-In Week #3 - Biggest Loser Summer Challenge Day #1

Thursday, July 08, 2010

After three weeks here on SP, it finally happened - my first week that I didn't lose any weight. I didn't gain any weight either and that's the best part. So, I'm still 197 but I did finally get around to doing some things that I should have done three weeks ago - I took my other body measurements.

After reading blogs by both Carly216 and Nascarchick, I learned the importance of tracking my other measurements. Losing inches is just as important as losing pounds, especially on those weeks where I don't lose any weight but rather only inches.

I've also entered the Walk Away the Pounds - Sisters in Sweat Biggest Loser Summer Challenge. In order to join the contest, I had to send in a picture of my feet on a scale - LOL

There's some kind of prize at the end (don't remember what it is) but it doesn't matter; I'm not doing it for that. I just like the idea of working towards a goal and the accountability of it all; that motivates me.

So, I'll be reporting on the challenge and my results from time to time as well as my other diet and exercise goals. I'm getting really excited about my program now and it's actually been really fun doing this - so far.

Xena - you're so sweet! I've always seemed to have small feet no matter how much weight I gained. I guess I didn't retain a lot of weight in my feet.

Wednesday is my weigh in day and I'm excited to see if I've lost any weight this week. I've been really good on my program.

I think we are both on the blue team together. You are doing a great job and hope you are still hiking around Simi?? I took the picture when I wasn't standing on the scale because I sent a picture first and then reread the directions. My scale has a memory so with both pictures Tema let me in. LOL
You have cute feet and toes. My are not.

Hi Ladies - I got a kick out the contest rules where we had to take a pix of us standing on a scale - LOL

I'm excited about the contest; I like pushing myself to do better. This whole SP journey is so good for me. Thx for the support; I really appreciate it.

Funny picture! I think I'll take one too. I'll wait til a day that I LIKE what the scale is telling me, however!

I am always fluctuating and on a plateau so don't give up! It really is good not to gain.

:::scratching my head::: How did I miss this blog?

Good on ya for being okay with a maintain on the scale! I feel it's the body's way of taking a breather, adjusting to the new lower weight, and then it will release more pounds next week. Also, great job taking your measurements! Some weeks the scale may not budge, so pull out the tape measure and measure your success that way! emoticon
