Getting Started

Well, it's been a week and a half that I've been sparking. I'm enjoying the recipes, the articles, and the scheduling. I'm not a very organized person, by nature, so having my workouts scheduled and picked out for me is nice. It's working, and I'm enjoying it.

I was very excited when I lost three pounds after four days. The last weigh in wasn't very satisfying, though. I have been using my sister's scale as I don't have one. Her scale has a dial, and only has numbers written for every ten pounds. The little dashes between the numbers are tiny. So, I think I've lost weight this last week, but it's hard to tell. Personally, I think even if you only lose half a pound it should be really freakin' obvious. So, I'm considering buying a new scale for home, maybe a digital one. I've never actually owned a scale, but then I've never counted calories before either.

It's very warm here right now. I just spent all day preparing potato salad, two pasta salads, cherry preserves, and baking kaisers and banana bread. We are going to the VIMF (Vancouver Island Music Fest.) tomorrow morning. I'm looking forward to swimming in the Tsolum river, especially now that my bathing suit fits better. emoticon

So, I will be gone for six days. I will resume sparking at that time, although I am going to be mindful of my calories while there. I'm not worried about the exercise as I will be doing enough walking, swimming, and especially dancing while there.
