On June 9, I moved back to my Indiana home from Orlando after an extended stay helping out my daughter and son-in-law babysitting their new son. Leaving was very hard for me. On the 17 hour drive home, I actually did not meet my calorie goal for the day and found myself mostly drinking diet sodas. When I arrived home, it was to find that my computer had died in my absence and could not be resuscitated. Gone was my link to SP, my only real source of support and my favorite feature the nutrition and exercise tracker. I was already feeling sad at coming home from daily contact with my family and that precious grandbaby to an empty house and then not to have my SP contact was devastating. To add injury to insult, the next morning when I got on the scale, it showed a one pound gain. It has been nearly a month now. I tried my best to follow my plan without being able to track. Unfortunately my body chose this time to plateau and the scale has sat on the same number for all this time. I have been trying everything I know to break the plateau but to no avail so far. Well, my daughter and her family made a quick trip to Indiana for a visit to her in-laws this week and while they were here brought me a new computer as a thank you for helping them out! I am thrilled. Now if I can just get off this plateau, I will be ecstatic. It feels good to be able to track again as it takes all the guessing out of it. I hope to see good things on the scale on Monday's weigh in.
