Mom's passing

Monday, July 05, 2010

My mom passed away June 19th, 2010 so i was away for awhile regrouping over my loss. My mother was very dear to me and her death was sudden. She died of congestive heart failure and had an enlarged heart per the medical examiner. Mom never liked going to the doc even after we tried to take her. She hid her illness well. I miss her so very much and she will be missed, but NEVER forgotten. She was only 57 years old. This has really alerted me even more to take care of my health and to strive even more for a better me spiritually and physically. I have never had a loss in the family this close and its the worse feeling ever. So many things i want to do for mom now in her memory. I got off track with my nutrition plan and training for a few weeks and now ready to get back on it. Mom would have liked me to stay healthy and focused. She thought how great it was when sis and i exercised and took care of ourselves :) I just thought i would share what was going on with me for those who like to read my blog. Thanks.

I feel your pain. I too am very close to my mom and almost lost her back in 2009 to a carotid artery blockage.
Your mami loves you very much and would want you to continue to strive for the best in your health.

While mostly in part it is done for ourselves, we don't realize the people whom we are inspiring while meeting our goals. I'm here to say that you inspired me back in 2007 when I first joined Spark my friend. Your mami is proud of you!

Love always from one warrior to another!

I am so very sorry for your loss. I know what it is like to lose a parent. Mt father died of the same thing at the young age of 62 and I miss him every day. I continue to look for ways to avoid the same disease that killed my dad and will never give up on that fight. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
