Day 2 of 5:30am Boot Camp!!!!
Today didn't seem as difficult as day 1, but I started feeling the effects much sooner. You know, that burning feeling in your muscles that makes you say, "I didn't know I had muscles there". Benefit: I know I worked hard. Drawback: It has become difficult to move around the house. I know in the long run, and over time it will become easier and the results will be a plenty.
About a year and a half ago I started my journey to a healthier lifestyle, and Boot Camp was an integral part of it. It's an early morning training group, where a trainer pretty much puts your body through the wringer. In the 2 months after I first introduced it into my routine I lost 15 pounds. I was sooo proud and excited. But that is where it stopped. I had knee surgery, and was laid up for a month or more. The exercise stopped, but the eating didn't. I didn't even put the weight back on, but I lost a lot of muscle tone. I called it redistributing the weight in my body. And slowly I am getting back my routine of cardio and strength training.
The hardest part now will be when Monday morning, 5am comes and my alarm is going off. It is at that point that I make the choice. . . get up and start my day with Boot Camp, or roll over and get a few more hours of sleep. I'm rooting for Boot Camp, but we will see what happens Monday morning. This is where the HABIT begins.
