Plugging along this road of life.

I have been working out, tracking and posting now for 109 days, and can't believe this because it does not seem like that long ago when I signed up and started. I have went from walking 2 miles and struggling to walking 3 miles no problem and couple times a week walking 3.5 to 4 miles because I want to keep going. This last week I joined the 28-Day Bootcamp Challenge and found my self struggling to stay motivated. Then one of my spark friends joined and now we have several people working on this together and it is what keeps me working to do this because I have to because we are a team and I have to support the team.

I have made several friends and last night went completely through my friend list and sent everyone a goodies because it felt so good to do. Also those who I had requested to be friends with and never responded I removed them if I could because they are not either logging in regularly or they did not want to join the fun. I love the people I have meat all over the world, and the friends who are always there and giving their encouraging words and get such a feeling of joy encouraging them along as well.

This weekend is the 4th of July or Independence Day and one that we need to step back and remember is the turning point in American History where we made the important decision not to be ruled by a Tyrant Government any more. Many people lost their fortunes, families and lives so we could be a Free Nation. Today we are looking at a situation that mirrors that time because our Freedoms are being chipped away, because for too long now people did not think there vote or what they believed matter. While you watch the fireworks all over this Great Nation of ours remember who helped make that possible and what sacrifices they made so we could become the Great Nation and why everyday people dream to come here and live freely and succeed.

    I completely agree!

SparkPeople and all the friends we make here - AWESOME!

U.S.A. - Independence Day should surely be a celebration and knowledge of WHY we celebrate should be history taught at home & at school. I pray and act so that I have done my part to keep what our forefathers fought so hard for!

Thanks for posting this.

Gentle hugs,
Dotti

Excellant blog. You are so right, people get caught up in the hoopla, but I do think that most people, especially here in Columbus, really stop and think about those who have protected us and those that have given us this country to live in and raise our children in. Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
