It has been 11 weeks since I had my last cigarette and I am so proud of me. I have gained some weight, more than I had hoped to but I will concentrate on fighting that battle again now and get to where I want to be.Healthy and smoke free.I knew trying to do both things at the same time would be nearly impossible so I didn't subject myself to that stress.Want to thank everyone who sent me advice and words of encouragement. You all helped me through this.

ELLIE, your Friends are very proud of your achievement too. I saw a daughter in law, a Son, and a Brother struggle through this addiction and know it is very hard. I know you can overcome the weight problem too. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Jane

One thing at a time! So glad you quit smoking though! I work in the cardiology dept at a hospital and we see smokers everyday come through here with developing heart/lung problems. It's so tough to watch! I used to smoke too and I know how hard it is.

Great job on becoming a new and healthier you!
