Although I have been a member since late last year, this is my first blog. I have been out of state caring for my mother and looking for employment since early February. My mother is Diabetic and is currently in the hospital, not due to high Blood Glucose levels, but due to high level BUN and Creatinine levels. I have been following the Duke Low Sodium, Potassium , and healthy carb diet. She was also dehydrated when brought in to hospital, having symptoms of heart problems.
I'm at a lose...The hospital food given to her has been raising her blood glucose readings, although the other readings are slowly coming down. She was in the hospital about a month ago with Pseudo Gout, sweeling in her feet.
Please, any suggestions are welcome and also any care giving suggestions are most welcome.
