Thanks for the instructions and showing how it is done. I have a kettle ball and Bob Harper's Workout but he did not explain it as thoroughly as you did or e explain about how to breathe when you are swinging the ball. Now i see what i have been doing wrong.

Thanks for the video. I am concerned about the knee locking. It seems to go against everything we learn when working with trainers and watching other fitness videos. I want to start using KB's so I'll definitely have to do more research.

This is very interesting to me. I had no idea there was a specific technique involved with using kettlebells. I am curious about whether the movements are potentially damaging to hip, knees and lower back.

Thanks! I just recently started using kettlebells. Great workout. I go to a class twice a week. There are a lot of little "tricks" that I would never have been able to guess. Instruction is the way to go!

Thanks, Bruce

Thanks for the info on proper form and breathing. But it looks like you are really snapping back your knees - won't this cause issues with the patella at some point? Just curious. Thanks.

Wow - This looks like a really GREAT workout. I've totally steered clear of kettlebells because I knew nothing about them.

How do you protect your back while doing kettlebells exercises?

Thanks!

Thanks! Quite a lot of detail in this video. I have been following another kettlebell instruction online, but she did not explain the breathing. I did not know it would help with my abs! Fabulous! and these are soooo easy to get hooked on!

thank you for the advise of going heavier, i got a 10 lb. for Christmas, but I am already looking for a 20 lb. one.

Thanks for your willingness to help us do this properly.

Nice instruction presentation. Thank you. I have the same question regarding the forceful locking of the knee joints: Really? Violently lock out the joint with every repetition? I'm not saying its wrong...just very unexpected. Is there some further reference or studies you can recommend regarding forceful joint locking and its effects over time? I know several people who have endured knee and hip replacements. Based on how much fun they seemed to not have, it scares me and I want to avoid replacement. Thanks?

The locking knees surprised me... While I'm far from a fitness nut, most advice I've seen over the years leans towards avoiding locking joints. It kind of scares me (have I been brain washed???).

I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the great demo!

Very informative. I've been doing the 2 hand swing for a while now and I can see a few minor corrections I need to make (mostly involving the knees).

Thanks again,

Thanks for the video - I have been practicing it without the kettle bell first to make sure i have my form down.

I went and got my first kettle bell today. I decided since I am fairly active I would start with the 10lb so it wouldn't be too light.

I am going to wear my heart rate monitor so I can see exactly how high my heart rate gets and how many calories I actually burn with this workout. I will post the results in the morning.
