After a disciplined week filled with 6 workouts and spot-on nutrition, I decided to give myself a break on Saturday. I decided to eat what I wanted and relax. I never sat down and gorged, but ate little treats and did not measure out my portions. At the end of the day, I knew I'd eaten too much, but didn't think it was THAT much. I felt I'd eaten what used to be an "average" day for the old me.
The surprise came this morning when I decided to log what I'd eaten the day before. After I got done entering all of my foods, my total calories shocked me - 4,800 calories!!!!
4,800 calories!!!
This is what I considered an "average day" and I didn't even think I'd really gone overboard.
Wow.
You can bet your sweet bibby I tracked everything I ate today, stayed within my calories, and even managed to do that with lunch at a restaurant.
I know I need to track what I eat, but I never fully realized what a massive amount of calories I can consume and still trick myself into thinking that "I'm not doing too bad."
Thank goodness for SP.
