Stationary...As in Paper

What is it about school supplies that I find so irresistible?

I took the kids to Wal Mart this morning to get a replacement battery for my pedometer. I ended up purchasing a new one (for only 7 bucks). It's a cheapy, but this one has a clip for my pants. I lost the clip for my good pedometer, so I figure the cheapy can get me by until I am able to find it. You see, I have an idea where it is, but I don't have the patience to go through that drawer right now. emoticon

Anyway, back to school supplies. I wanted to get myself a small notebook to keep track of daily tasks, food, and water. We're going on a couple of trips this summer, and I might not always have Internet access. With the notebook, I can blog on paper, keep track of food/water, and write down daily pedometer steps. Everything can then be entered on here when we're connected back to the WWW.

If it's motivating to get myself a 2 dollar cute notebook, then by golly, I'll do what motivates me.

emoticonI did resist and not purchase any more new pens. emoticon Even though I really, really wanted to.

I am in charge of office supplies here at work and I just love the colorful papers, ink pens, post-its, etc they have right now. But like you, I have to resist as we are on a budget. emoticon
