My Weight Experiences

I never had a weight problem in life until after my 2nd child I was 26. I gained 60 lbs. the same as with my 1st pregnancy at 20 but no problem losing it then.
I have been yoyoing ever since that is 30 years. I had the pills and weight watchers, the zone and many others. I lost 30 lbs. in the first few months on sparkpeople. I was doing great then I had my health setbacks and gained most of it all back. Up and down, up and down my life story.
I am sure I have emotional issues but can't relate them to my eating habits. I eat when I am rushed or over tired. My foods of choice are anything sweet, baked goods, chocolate, candy and ice cream. I can tell you the best places to get ice cream pretty much anywhere in Southwestern Ontario up to the Muskokas. LOL The worst part is if I am strict with myself and don't eat the sweets I don't miss them. My other biggest factor is price if they have choc. bars on sale and I buy more than one I eat them all. Sometimes searching the house to make sure all the sweets are gone. I know now to not bring the stuff into the house to start with or I will eat it. I have also learned that if I do really crave chocolate or ice cream to go out and pay the extra to buy 1 cone or 1 bar and then eat it and leave the rest at the store.
I know for me planning and getting the food ready ahead of time is important. The nutrition tracker is very helpful. I haven't been using it the past couple months and I know I have been going up and down again. I also haven't been doing as much exercise. I can't walk like I would like I am in too much pain afterwards. I know they say babysteps and I have been trying to get out and walk almost everyday. My feet hurt 24/7 but my back and hips etc. hurt after walking.
I am looking forward to July I will be done my current job and I will get back to the pool daily. I have my first appt. on July 14th to go to a weight loss clinic run by a doctor and covered by our health plan. It is very extensive and many tests are given to get the exact food intake for my resting metabolic rate. I am excited to get started on it. I will incorporate sparkpeople and the clinic and get myself into the shape I know I can. I will be able to go to the pool daily again and that will be good for my pain and weight loss.
I am reading the spark right now and plan on using all the tools from both places to help with my journey to a healthier me.
Keep on tracking and I am so happy to have found spark actually my daughter told me about it. Teri

    Good for you. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon You have a very good plan. If you stick with your plan you have enough help surrounding you to get you on the road to success to losing all your weight and keeping it off for good.
