Today was my first weigh in day and after one week, I've lost two pounds. YEAH!!!
Thats great - right? I know it's only two pounds but the way I see it, I didn't gain two pounds. All of my hard work this week paid off. I don't know though. Not sure what I'm feeling right now except that I keep remembering what a physical trainer (who is the epitome of fit) told me recently.
"The faster you lose it, the less likely you will be able to keep it off". Hmmm...
Is two pounds a week too fast? It can't be - right? Hubby asked me this morning, "what if you only lost a pound? Would you still be as motivated?"
Even if I only lost a pound, it's still better than gaining a pound or losing nothing. Now losing nothing after working really hard all week would be really discouraging.
I'm sure that at some point in my journey to getting healthier, there will be those weeks that I will lose nothing but for right now, I am ecstatic about my two pound loss and I am as motivated as ever.
