Weighty Obsession

It's the first thing I do in the morning before I get ready for the rest of the day. I weigh myself every morning without fail. And the worst part about it is that I base my self worth on whatever number pops on the scale. However, I do remember the fact that the number will fluctuate from day to day. But when I don't see the positive results I want immediate, I have a hate fest with myself. I'm interested to see if anyone else has a weighing obsession. Please do comment if you've have/had a similar experience.

  I do the exact same thing every single morning, and if the numbers haven't changed (or, God forbid, gone up) I feel so discouraged! To put so much work into something and not feel like you're getting results is very frustrating... I've started writing it down every day on a calendar, then circling only every other Saturday. It really has helped me look at the larger picture and focus less on the natural daily fluctuations.

    Yes, this is a very similar thing that I used to do. I had to get to the root of my issues, which you can read about in some of my blogs. Once I got rid of the lies I believed about myself, I have been able to just see the number and not think less of myself for it. I know I am not 100% there yet, in fact, just this last week I saw something else I was believing about myself. I am going to blog about that today! Have a great day!
