3 Months Later, Under 200 pounds

Monday, June 21, 2010

3 months following my dear friend's death due to a heart attack, I have slipped under the 200 pound mark!!! I started at 237lbs in January and it was very slow progress for the past two weeks where each day the scale balanced at 201 lbs. This morning the scale read a firm 199 lbs and I am ecstatic! My Great Dane and I have been putting on the miles enjoying our time together on the beaten path. I attribute my recent loss to a discovery that I am allergic to gluten! The wheat allergy had actually held my body hostage to belly fat. Thanks to the books "The Spark" and "The UltraMind Solution" for showing me how to break through the plateau. And thanks to all of my Spark Friends who have helped me so much on this journey!

Good for you in breaking the 200 lbs barrier!! I know it is a struggle a a lot of hard work but it is rewarding. I to have lost weight since January, 51 lbs. I have been on a plateau for the past 3 weeks and have to put in the extra effort to get off by changing my exercise program.
My wife buys a lot of Gluten free products but has to be careful since most of them are higher in calories especially the bread replacements. I suggest for tax purposes if you by special foods for Gluten save your receipts, the difference is deductible.

My son has a Great Dane. He lived with me for about six months. I really miss both of them. They moved to Colorado in Januaray.
