Here is my final entry for a while. I need a break. As much as I love taking pictures of my food - and I think it does help me, I need a break.
But I wanted to go out with a bang, so the beginning of this day was some of my best efforts. Check it out.
I started out the morning with some strange items. I had some Fage 0% hanging around (no flavor) so I found some lingonberry preserves and threw that one the side and had some no sugar added applesauce. That was breakfast.
Breakfast - 260 calories
Then my plan was to go to the beach, but I couldn't go all day because I had an eyebrow appointment at 4:45. So instead of getting up as early as I would have liked and really going down the shore, I just went to a local park that has a man made lake and some sand. Good enough. I tried on all my bathing suits the night before to figure out what to wear. I wasn't satisfied. I know I have lost a lot of weight with these challenges, but when I look in the mirror I still see the same lumpy me. My stomach is a big ole mess. So I really have to do something about it. It's bringing me down. I ended up wearing a nice bikini top and some shorts (it made me feel better) and will buy a new bathing suit in the next week or two.
So en route to the "beach" I picked up some snacks. I had an Odwalla Berry Bar - yum for 220 calories.
Then after about an hour on the beach I crack open the trail mix and eat about 1.5 servings.
When I get home I want to make myself a very yummy lunch because I am going to a BBQ later, and I don't really like BBQ food. So I made a grilled cheese from low fat brie and tomatoes. Finished the rest of the tomatoes as a side dish (thanks Jess, I love that idea). Had edamame on the side, a glass of simply apple juice and finished with ONE Sutter's PB cookie.
667 calories (I would like to get my meals in the 500-550 calorie range)
Off to the eyebrow appointment (almost late because I couldn't find my keys and my cat had some litterbox problems)
Before I head to my BBQ, I have another healthy snack. Blueberries, chocolate almond breeze milk and Trader Joe's blueberry greek style yogurt.
It was a yummy snack for 289. Very filling. I did well on protein today.
I was nearly at my calorie threshold for the day - so I knew I would be ok about not going overboard at the BBQ.
So I go to the BBQ. immediately, I am offered a twisted cappuccino but I decline. Not 3 minutes later is one placed in my hand. I try to be gracious and drink it. But it's the top two things I'm not supposed to have - COFFEE AND ALCOHOL! Oh well. So I drink that but I think it barely had any booze or caffeine apparently, because I felt fine. Luckily!
Much much later, like 5 hours later, I get a little starving. But it's getting late and I really want to go home, so I just grab a little cinnamon pound cake thing - IDK - estimated at 100 calories. No images from the party - they aren't the kind of people I feel really comfortable around taking pictures.
Eventually, when i finally get home at 1:30am I am starving - ugh! It's so late! But I can't just go to bed. So I decide to make cinnamon sugar toast and have a glass of skim plus milk. Whatever. I know I'm over and I had a lot of dairy and carbs today, but it was definitely one of my better days.
