no longer sitting the fence

Saturday, June 19, 2010

I am no longer sitting the fence, my eating some eggs and seafood although nice because I had some freedom with my eating was not good for my health. I am using the Engine2 Diet as a guide. The plan is to eat no flesh food no refined foods or extracted oils. Will I be able to follow this, I will try, I agree with the reasoning behind the plane and the danger of animal proteins and refined foods. However I am not going to eat like a monk. If I decide to have cake and Ice cream at a party I will, but not often. I will try to follow the vegan life style knowing that it will be a journey I may never complete

sounds like you have a plan. I agree with you I will eat cake with all the dairy or eggs in them. But I don't like milk, yogurt and eggs (and they don't like me)

I really like the engine 2 diet and like that its vegan so there is no eggs for protein. I also all the recipes look very good.

Best wishes with your plan. It's great, I congratulate you for doing it. I know you'll reap healthy benefits from it. AND..... good for you for realizing that once in awhile you'll need to back off for just a bit!

Very sensible plan sounds like to me! Good for you about getting off the fence, yet reserving the right to not "live like a monk". Bravo!

I've sat on the fence about other things in life and it is only comfortable for so long. Good for you for making a making a decision and best of luck in sticking with it!

Hi kiki it wasn't hard giving things up once I found out what is n them and why they are bad for me. An example growers put arsenic in chicken feed to make them grow bigger

Sounds like a good challenge. I gave up beef this year and feel very good about it. I've yet to give up chicken or pork or cheese or fish or shellfish. So, you're far and away ahead of me on this journey! LOL. Wishing you the best, I do think it's the right thing to do! emoticon
