The 4-Day Diet: Protein Stretch (Phase 3). Results!

Ending the Protein Stretch 1 day early because I have some weekend events and need to be more liberal in my meal plans. Pizza party at work today (hosted by boss so can't refuse, 1 slice won't kill me), and then my bro-in-law's 30th Bday bash tonight (which equals potluck and beer). The Smooth Phase is more liberal in that you can have 1 serving of pizza, cheeseburg, pasta, etc per day. Hope this doesn't bump my weight up too much beacuse the carbs have been pretty low, but moving forward and following the plan anyway. I can take the ups and downs after all I've been through.

I really enjoyed the protein stretch but it felt long because it was kind of similar to the Transition Phase, so it was more like one long 7 day phase. I started running again and I think that has helped with weight loss. Also doing at-home strength training using my body weight and sometimes dumbbells and this has transformed my body. There's nothing better than squats, lunges, push ups, planks, hamstring curls, etc. So fun to do and it tightens everything. I used to be so shy of working out like this, get the I feel stupid bug, but I'll work out anywhere now. I even have 2 lb dumbbells in my office for when I'm on conference calls! The more I lose, the more my tummy looks wrinkly and droppy and I think the only thing that will fix that is a tummy tuck. I've taken pics of it but am shy to post them. It looks way different sitting than it does standing, thus why you prob can't tell in my pics on SP. My goal is to maintain this weight for 1-2 years and then consider a TT if it doesn't get better.

Body Fat: 22.9%, down from 25.28% at start.

I'm so stoaked about today's weigh in, as it marks 10 lbs loss since I started this 4-Day Diet 11 days ago. My body fat % used to be in the 30s so seeing it close to 20 is exciting!

Going shopping this weekend for some cute summer clothes and a new bathing suit. Nothing is fitting me anymore, even my skinny clothes, so I have to do something! I hate shopping as I'm so indecicive and cheap, which is not an effective combo when you need to buy clothes. But wish me luck! I'll post new pics in my new suit then.

    Woohoo!

I am feeling you on the droopy belly skin. Sometimes I look at my belly and think... how much of this is actually still fat and how much of it just skin from having lost 50lbs? I joked w/ my hub about a TT too, but I think that would have to be way down the road for me after we have kids and I lose THAT weight.

Regardless, you look amazing and you should be proud of yourself!
