Summer Camp: Day 3

Wednesday, June 16, 2010

Today was swimming day, the cub scouts had a blast. Somehow I ended up with one sunburnt shoulder... and I couldn't understand it. I sunscreened well and often. Then I remembered driving home at 4:30 pm with the windows down, and I never resunscreened at the END of the day. Taadaa, one burnt left shoulder. It isn't even painful, just red. My only other battle scars from today (besides extreme tiredness) is one bug bite (apparently I missed a spot with the bug spray as well LOL).

The joys of the outdoor adventure.

Oh yes, my 8 yr old finally 'got' bb shooting, and shot a bullseye today! He also hit the black most of the time. It will be interesting to see how he does tomorrow, if he shoots really well again on the 'test' they told him he gets a special patch. Either way, he has enjoyed the week so far, and I am really happy that he has done so well with everything. Anytime he needed a 'break' he let me know, which is huge progress from last year's summer camp.

Well, I am off to bed, I have two more adventuresome days left of camp.

    Another fun day!

Congrats to your son on the bb gun successes. I love bb guns. Actually almost any guns can be fun with all the usual safety requirements met.

Enjoy tomorrow. emoticon

I've spent many summers with a sunburned left arm! Thanks again for working with the boys. It will mean more to them than you realize and than they realize. My son has ASD and getting him to relize when he needs a break has made a huge improvement in everybody's stress level! Good for your son and you!
