For my Urban Gardener buddies

Saturday, June 12, 2010

I was so inspired by recent vlogs posted by BECKY2230 and THEICEVALKYRIE. My space is much smaller than theirs, but I enjoy playing in the garden so much! I'm so new at this, and have so much to learn! It's so exciting to see the fruits of your labor.

    I don't know how I missed this!!!

This is fantastic! I saw the bunny!!!!

How's tomatoes now? Eating them yet? Lots of herbs! My cat ate my last chocolate mint.... well destroyed it to get to the strawberries.

And my yard isn't that big. Probably about the same size as yours.. I just utilize the space well. Becky's yard is huge!!

Love the shot with your mom! Hehe.

Thanks for your encouragement! The fig tree is about a year old. I don't think there's any secret to growing it in the pot. I just used Miracle Grow potting soil, and the biggest pot I could afford. Someone told me that fig trees will grow to fit the pot they are planted in. I hear they can get humongous when planted in the ground! Let's hope this one stays happy in the pot...only time will tell!

I love it! You are doing such a beautiful job! I'm very Impressed. You have some good ideas too. I was wondering how long has the fig tree been in the pot? I have always wanted one but haven't because space is limited. I want to get one now! What's the secret to growing it in the pot? Your mom bit cracked me up! The garden is defiantly tranquil! Keep up the good work! Don't forget to post your container tips! We like it! emoticon

I've been wanting to garden in my new apt. space, but we have slits in the wood floor. I'd need to make sure I have no leak pots so the bottom neighbors don't get wet! hee! I am not experienced either, but I LOVE seeing fruits of labor too! Good luck with your projects! emoticon
