Wow... "Kaseycoff is"...

Saturday, June 12, 2010

Apologies for publicizing your name, Kasey, but seriously, you posted a status today that blew my socks off. It was just the one word, "is". I commented back on your status, but do you have any clue how profound that one word "is" is?

Is is the first person, present tense of the verb "to be". And is that not the very essence of life? The statements "I am", "you are", "he is", "she is" are usually followed by modifiers of one form or another. And most of us fill in our status that way, too.

"____ is getting ready to run"
"_____ is tired"
"_____ is fired up"

But the most important part of that statement is that we ARE! Spark is here to help us stay that way.

Thanks for the great reminder, Kasey! Life is good!

OneKidsMom... i.e. Barb... IS, today! I am. And, I am grateful.

Wow, I'm impressed that such a small word can bring so many thoughts and inspire thoughts in myself as well. Thanks for the blog and for making me think!

You are absolutely right Barb, just being "is" something to celebrate! Sometimes we lose that in the "doing" of it all!

What a wonderful way to go through Life. For such a little word, 'Is' is very powerful when you stop to think about it.

emoticon Thanks to Barb for calling our attention to this, and to Kasey for just BEING "Kasey"

My grandma use to say, all the time, "I is what I is" and she lived her life that way. Not a bad way of looking at things, I don't think. She was very happy in her "own skin" and she was a terrific inspiration to me.
Have a great day,
