Yvonne's Hospital Stay - June 9 Update
Wednesday, June 09, 2010
New day with more progress. This morning, two of Yvonne's doctors - on separate visits - told us how pleased they are with her progress. One of them confirmed that the aneurysm repair also corrected the heart valve problem. That is, now the valve seats correctly with no leakage. No "adjustment" surgery was required at all. We serve a MIGHTY GOD!!!
The doctors believe in building a patient's strenght back up ASAP. At 11:00, they got her out of bed, and she stayed up (in a chair) for a couple of hours. However, getting back into the bed was quite the ordeal. Yvonne told the nurse this was more painful than getting out of bed, which wasn't any picnic.
She still has tubes all over the place, but we expect her surgeon to remove most of those tomorrow. Right now, we aren't sure whether she will be released from ICU to a regular room tomorrow, or Thursday. Either way, it is in our FATHER's hands, so we just won't worry about it.
We would appreciate prayers specifically for pain relief. Thanks, Sparkers.
