This is a short blog, but I've been feeling good about myself and wanted to share; I've lost a total of 18 lbs in the last two months and I'm exercising daily. I never thought I'd enjoy it but I feel better physically AND emotionally afterward.

It may sound selfish but my main motivation right now is me; I'm tired of being tired and feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. I also need to set a better example for my daughters; they deserve a mother who can keep up with them without always being exhausted. My husband is supportive (despite his physical absence) and I'm determined to stay focused--no going back!

Thanks for taking the time to read this some what rambling blog and for my SP pals continued support; with any luck, I'll be at my goal weight in no time: )

GOOD FOR YOU!!! Congrat's on the weight loss AND the regular exercise:-)

It doesn't sound selfish that your main motivation at the moment is you - we NEED to put ourselves first like this, because if we don't then we can't give the best to our families and your children deserve the best!:)

NOT rambling either:-D

You are awesome! Keep up the great work!!! Your daughters are lucky to have such a mom that not only takes great care of them, but is putting herself first in health!!! Sounds corny, but "may the force be with you"!! Heehee!

Wow 18 pounds in two months that is amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Took me a year to lose that and six months to gain it back. But I am determined to do it. Great blog, not a ramble at all.

Melissa, the whole idea of this program is to put yourself first.
All too often, Moms put themselves last, the kids, work, house, everything and anything always come first. Only you can help yourself. And all the energy of a healthy lifestyle will enable you to deal with the workload of your life much more easier. The upside is your whole family will benefit from eating healthier and getting more exercise -to keep up with you! You are doing it! Well done!
