Saturday and Sunday are hard to control because we are conditioned to think that we are "off" on the weekends. By "off", I mean that we tend to think that we are off from EVERYTHING ... work ... eating healthy ... whatever. We are conditioned to think that the weekend is "Party Time."
Isn't there anyway possible that when family comes by, you could convince them that you want to eat healthy? I know ... they don't want to hear that, right?
You have to figure out a way to see family and friends (because that is more important then anything) and STILL keep your eating under control. Here's what is important to remember ...
No matter what the situation, it is YOU that must control what you eat. It seems like every other day @ my job it was one person or another's birthday. There was always cake or pastry or some other fattening thing that I didn't need around. But my mindset was that I am not cheating anyone other then myself when I eat what I'm not supposed to. That's really the only one you cheating on this journey ... yourself.
I don't think ... in fact, I doubt that I could have lost the weight I needed to lose without my son and Weight Watchers. It is amazing what you can do, BUT you need support. I needed the support of my son and a whole group of people. It seems as though you're not getting it there.
Eating healthy is so much harder when you're the only one doing it. Maybe you can find a workout buddy or even support group to help you through this. At least, that's what I would do.
Keep at it! You can and will get this done because you know what is right for you. You know that that cute son of yours needs his mommy around for a long, long time and you want to be there for many years to come. You don't want to be an overweight, exhausted, unhealthy parent who can't manage to live to see her grandchildren, right? The time to start on your future is NOW!
Have a great week. I'm sure you'll do better this weekend!
Yah, like LorinHillery said. You never know, you might have a couple of your family members eat the vegies and fruits. It's up to you to be the role model. You don't have to push on it on them, but it will be nice to have something you won't regret later on.
Control the food that comes into your space. Serve fruits and veggies and healthier choices. Set the example for the rest of your family. Especially for your kids. They are watching and they will learn from you. STAY DETERMINED !!!! yOU CAN DO IT.
