Good blog.. very interesting... one thing that comes to mind is tender loving kindess to oneself... I am sending a huge dose of that to you..."it's my fault" strikes me as very punitive to oneself...you are doing it, and you will have eat nights once in a while and the next day you will exercise and eat well and keep going...give yourself a break this is slow and we are all here...tender loving kindness for you and a reward comes now for all you have done and have been to us out here...inspiring...rock on...onward with kindness to yourself woman! have a nice weekend....zo

You are fabulous! And your blogs are awesome! I think your next word needs to be forgiveness. Now that you've taken responsibility, it's time to forgive yourself. You do what you know, when you know better you do better. Now that you understand yourself and your situation better, it's time to forgive yourself for "letting it happen" and let yourself be free to take care of yourself by healthy eating and exercise...err...sorry - sports!

You know everyone has the ability to overcome their weight issues. You are no exception to this rule. You have one of the greatest support groups right here at your finger tips and that's why we are here - for one another!
You've admitted the problem in front of all who view your video blog! Now, fix it! Is it that simple? Yes! Is it that easy? No! Exercising is not the most fun thing in the world to do, however, it is one of the most important things to do. A little walk around the mall or an hour walk in and out of the isles at a bi-level department store is exercise. Everything you do that creates movement is a form of exercise that burns calories.
Even when we become sedentary our body is burning calories, but not enough. You know all these things! I'm not saying anything you haven't already heard. I just think you need a reminder!
So GET UP and GET MOVING! I don't care what you do, just MOVE! Also weigh your food and drink your water. Consider this a small kick in the butt!
I wouldn't do this if I didn't care! And if I didn't care, I wouldn't be much of a friend!
Get up and get out; life is waiting for you!

I have a generic spring scale.
I avoid eggs because they sometimes exacerbate inflammation in my knees. I've moved to wild salmon.
Really Great Blog.
Very strong of you to be honest. Yes, it was your fault for getting there. Now, it's your responsibility for getting out. That being said, you have friends here who want to help you. We can encourage you and give you information.
I want to be there for you. I want to see that day when you hit that milestone, that "holy..." moment when you are able to do something that you never dreamed possible. Let me know how to be there for you.
You've taken the first really big step by saying what you said and I am really proud of you for it. Go You!!!

If you don't have high cholesterol and as long as you aren't eating lots of eggs each day (like more than 2 a day), don't worry about it! Eggs are very nutritious! However- do you know for sure that cholesterol isn't an issue for you? Have you seen a doctor for blood tests?
And yes, it is YOUR fault. It might be hard, but that is a great revelation to have! If you continue to say that your weight gain wasn't your fault, then you've moved control of your life to others, so you can't be part of the solution either. If you did it, you can fix it!!!!
I have SO much faith that you can do this- you really seem on the cusp for a big change :)

OMG I COULDNT LIVE WITHOUT MY FOOD SCALE!!!!!!!!! As far as measuring cups, I can sneak lots of extra stuff into itand get it to fit into a measuring cup so.... that doesn't work for me. I have to weigh it! There isn't a day that goes by that I don't use the scale. Mine was 35 bucks. Mine is digital but you can get a "non digital one" (cant think of the word right now) for like 10 bucks at walmart!!
I do egg beaters because my cholesterol is 2 teensy points too high. No egg yolks for me. :(
PS my brother went to culinary school and told me to make omelettes you need a smaller pan! try making it with a smaller pan next time and it will be TONS easier!!! I promise!!!

You can do egg whites mixed in with whole eggs!
I got my food scale from Amazon and I love it! I like having the option to do grams or ounces!
Watch that ham! Its loaded with sodium! That will hurt the weight loss because of water retention!

Egg are good in moderation and if you work out. Lots of good protein. But I can't eat eggs cuz of the cholesterol/fat.
Measuring cups are cheaper for measuring than a scale :P
Lol nice transition from kitchen to living room.
Thanks for sharing your honesty. There are so many factors that play into your happiness and yes, it might be your fault but psychologically we all respond to stress and habits. Its good to admit that you are the one that has to have control, but don't also beat yourself up either. Have faith in yourself, you are one of the strongest individuals I know.
