So yesterday I had my weigh in at work :-) All three guys I am competing with gained weight (ranging from less than a pound to 3lbs) and I lost weight :-) It felt good, lol.
Then Friday I was invited out for drinks by the guy who runs the competition. Apparently every Friday night a group of people go across the street for drinks (which DOESN'T help with the weight loss) and all three other competitors went, along with some other coworkers. I went too. And I drank. I drank more than I should have - but I stepped on the scale this morning and hadn't gained anything. It just felt good to be invited out with people, ya know? Especially with all the crap that goes on in my department - it felt good to be accepted/invited out with a group who routinely go out. If I am invited back/keep going out with them - I will definitely not drink as much as I did (2 vodka and tonics and 1 shot) but I will join in on the drinking. Thing is, I don't like beer. At all. So I'm thinking I'll stick with my Cosmo or try something new, and do 1 shot with the group. One of the girls who was there nursed a beer, and that was all she drank.
Anyway, so yesterday was fun. I took a break from my super healthy eating, and today I am back on track :-)
I ate well today and I worked out. I did the "burn" part of Turbo Jam's learn and burn (since it was only a 15 minute workout) because I wanted to do a quick cardio workout and then do a sculpting workout. So then I went on to the Turbo Jam scupt - and I really didn't like it very much. I love the Turbo Jam cardio workouts - but for whatever reason the sculpt one was not fun at all. So I'm going to have to use a different video for that (or of course, my own knowledge). Next time I'll try my P90 sculpt. I think I remember liking that one. I also still need to try my Turbo Jam abs. Maybe I'll do that one tomorrow?
I also have a new set to try - Yoga Booty Ballet. I had put it in my online cart to buy it (it was super cheap) but the page kept stalling and not going through, so I just closed out of the page. Then I went and looked further into the program that I had before, and realized that I probably wouldn't like it. So I was really glad that the order didn't go through (when I went back on the website the order was still in my cart). But then a couple of days later a package showed up for me - I opened it and there was the complete set. I figure for $40 it isn't worth the hassle of returning the product, so I might as well keep it. If I at least watch them I can learn more about everything and maybe find some things I like and would want to add to my own routine.
So my goal of working out 4x before Friday's weigh in is started - 1 workout down, 3 to go in 5 days. I need to hit the grocery store and get some fresh stuff for lunches this week too.
