Stress and family

Friday, June 04, 2010

Sometimes, the family causes stress. I am usually very good at avoiding or dealing with stress however, I discover that avoiding stress that involves the behavior of a family member is more difficult because I don't care to avoid family when they have a need. Even a stressful one, especially a stressful one.

A few days passing, a family member asked for my thoughts on a personal issue. I spoke my thoughts and the family member didn't like my thinking and actually argued with my feelings on the issue. The stress of dealing with someone problems is one that I have yet to learn to control. emoticon

I totally agree. I'm headed into a situation which I know will be stressful but I need to be there. I'm already planning exercise time to help me.

Family, oh, gee. Been there done that.

Love them even if it hurts to tell a tiny fib truth.

I tend to speak my mind anyways. Never mine people asking for advise. I am a prisoner of my own self. For giving advise.

With family. I won't go on.

Lucky family member only argued. It is when they don't speak for months or years. That is what one calls STRESS. . Some families have that.

I can really relate to your words!
My family asks for advice and then resents you and what you say.
I've learned to not offer words, just help and support. It's safer for me in the long run.
Stay positive,
Sheila
