June 3 update

Friday, June 04, 2010

I am starting to redo my kitchen and for me that is a lot of work. one wall is done the bricks are down and it clean smooth and repainted. So on the the next step the other side, had to move 3 cabinets to are up one up sidedown and one need repairs one. I only have half ot my table and counter are stacked with dishes. The Wll need to be cleaned and then painted and last cabinet put back up. This will be done hopefully before fall.
This project has been waiting 11 years. Since my accident I could only do half of the chores. I am working with DH and DS. to get this done. But with God help we will get through it all alive. Pat

Remodeling is tough. My husband and I totally remodeled 2 homes and I swear I almost left him many times over it! The last home I got a 2nd mortgage, moved in with my parents, and said to him "You are welcome to join me, but I am not coming home until the remodeling is done!" My dh is an architect an I would come home and a window or door would be torn out but not replaced! One winter he tore out the front door and we had plastic over the entrance for several months while he hunted for the "perfect" door!

See, your situation isn't so bad! emoticon Seriously, (I was kidding!) don't stress out like I did! Just take it easy and do what you can when you can and try to work together! You are smart to take one room @ a time!

You, your dh, and your kitchen will be in my daily thoughts and prayers!
God bless you and take care!
Love, your sister in Christ,

Don't worry about the time it takes. Dh and I redid our kitchen and it took 3 years. I did what I could but had to wait on him for carpentry parts as he redid all the cabinets, built a pantry and cabinet. My job was sanding, scrubbing, washing.

I understand about undertaking projects...and the time it takes to finally get things done. We started on our building 2 yrs ago...and hopefully we'll get it finished this summer. Good luck and try to not tear each other up...Have fun, enjoy the time together...
