God 1 Me 12...

Thursday, June 03, 2010

The ONE choice we can make everyday is our attitude. We cannot change our pastů.we cannot change another person. We can only accept responsibility for our own person. We cannot change the unavoidable. The only thing we can do is take one day at a time and look after our attitude. So my attitude today: thankfulness. Thankfulness is an attitude of gratitude.

The following is based on my devotional today from Daily Splashes of Joy,
by Barbara Johnson.
I used my own questions and ratio.

Lord I ask You more questions then You ask me.
The percentage is 12 to 1.

I ask:
Why do you permit me to suffer so?
How long can I tolerate it?
What purpose does it serve?
Have You forgotten me in my anguish?
Have I offended You?
Did I tire you out with my pleas?
Are you fed up with my prayer for relief?
Have You let me go?
Where did I miss Your direction?
How did I get so lost?
How did I get on this path of loss and desolation?
Do you see my total hopelessness?

You ask: Where is your faith?

These questions are reflections of my thoughts and prayers over the period of the last year. I have been through much adversity and am still going through some trials. My faith - it never wavers.. I am NEVER in doubt of WHO holds my life in His hands. I know where I am going and How I am getting there. My heart is always at home, at peace, and still in the knowledge that Jesus Christ came to this earth to save me. Everything on this earth is temporary.

It is in the walk when we feel all alone that we must continue on and know that God is always faithful.
