It kicked my butt!! I bought the DVD Sunday night & did about half of it when I got home. Then yesterday I put the DVD in, it began playing right away, and I did the whole 60 minute workout. By the end I thought my arms were going to fall off. I found myself screaming at the tv "shut up, Jillian!" I woke up this morning in SO MUCH pain. Like I was hurting in muscles I didn't know existed. My back, my legs, my arms...
BUT since I'm in on the GOYAAM X-treme challenge... I decided to workout this am anyway. So I put in the DVD and the weirdest thing happened. It went to the menu instead of starting up automatically. Then I clicked a few buttons and realized it's a 6 wk program AND you aren't supposed to do the ENTIRE workout in one day. You do the "last chance workout" one day and then the upper and lower body sculpt the next day. And you rotate those workouts for the first two weeks. Guess what... I felt like a dork. No wonder I was in so much pain!! Ugh!
So I decided NOT to do the entire DVD again today! LOL! I did the last chance workout along with the warm up & cool down. It was about 40 minutes and I burned 235 calories. For my GOYAAM plan I set a goal of 60 mins of exercise per day. So I added a 25 minute power walk (pushing the stroller) and I burned another 220 calories. My day one GOYAAM X-treme total was 65 minutes & 455 calories burned. That's extreme for me. I usually do about 35-45 minutes and burn 300-350 calories. Hopefully I can stick with this 21 day challenge and slowly increase. But I'm pretty pleased with my day one results. It's like my good friend Kimmi told me.... It's hard for me to burn a heck of a lot of calories because I'm a lightweight now. :)
Since I just patted myself on the back for my workout... Let me now tell you how bad I did on my food today. I set my daily goal for 1200 - 1300 calories. That's generally pretty easy for me. Today I consumed 1634 because I just HAD to have this ooey gooey super duper chocolatey brownie. I'm such a punk! MAN it was good though! I promise to do better tomorrow
