Oh yes. It's dessert time! I've learned that in order to succeed with my weight loss, I cannot deny myself they simple pleasure of dessert every once and a while. I mean, sometimes you just need sugar!
I've satisfied my sweet tooth by only allowing myself dessert twice a month and only after I've met my exercise goals. I'm proud to say i was able to have dessert along with everyone else this Memorial Day weekend. What did i have for dessert, you say? I had my FAVORITE dessert; a Maple Cinnamon Butternut Squash Sundae.
- Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean Frozen Yogurt
- Taste of Thai Coconut fortune cookie
- One Medium/ Small Banana
- Kroger/Ralph's, Private Selection Brand, Maple Cinnamon Butternut Squash - half cup
(in a refrigerated bag in the fresh food section with vegetables)
- Planters Dry Roasted, Lightly Salted Peanuts w/ Sea Salt (8 peanuts)
Note: If you prefer non-dairy ice cream, Turtle Mountain makes a delicious vanilla bean.
100+18+85+55+20= 270 - 300 calories!
In my opinion, this is not bad for a sundae. Of course, I only splurge once every few months.
