Well my Sun Run training is over for the year. If you don't know what I am talking about Sun Run is a 10 km walk/run done in Vancouver BC, I have never gone to the actual run but I have trained with the kids/staff at the school I work at. This year we sent about 25 people down, including my son.
Well last year I quit exercising just after we were done training, no proverbial carrot dangling in-front of us, we all gave up. And I had lost most of the leg muscles I had worked up in that time too. I didn't even use my elliptical trainer during that time.
Well I have found some motivation to keep me going. I had to start going to a Physio-Therapist because I have a buggered up shoulder. Now that my shoulder is getting better we have moved on to getting the rest of my body into better shape. This week it is Core strengthening. I have to try and keep my abdominal muscles tightened, not an easy task, plus a few other relatively simple exercises.
I hope when this is all said and done in the next 5 weeks I will feel better about myself and keep up my motivation levels.
