So my wonderful friends decided to take me out for an early birthday dinner last night, and that was so nice of them! Earlier we had planned to go to this relatively healthy restaurant and I had the dinner all planned into my tracker and I was excited.
Last minute, they changed the restaurant-AHHHH! But, I stayed calm. The restaurant wasn't in my food searh, so I tried the best I could-(at a steak house!) I ate a roll, with no butter, a small house salad, and for dinner I ordered bbq chicken, and a plain sweet potato. While having to endure the waiters teasings that I didn't order steak at a steakhouse, or anything on the potato, I thought I did well. This morning I found the nutrion information online....bbq chicken 512 calories!!!! (That was what my entire dinner would've been at the other restaurant!) Who knew someone could pack that many calories into a small piece of chicken with minimal sauce on it!! Anyway, that bad boy turned into a 1300+ calorie dinner.
Like my last post, where I again got taken by surprise over total calories, I guess this is another lesson learned. It was great to go out with friends, so I'll have to really 'behave' all week, but I'm thinking this upcoming birthday is going to cause me some frustration!
