Trying to Please. . . .

Saturday, May 29, 2010

So got a wedding that I got to go to & I really don't wanna. Its on a Sunday evening. I know, I know, I don't have to work on Monday but I'd rather be home doing something with the kids. I know I need to be a date to my husband but why did he have to sign on for the reception too? YIKES! Who do you try to please?

Today, I'm dropping a bday card off to my girlfriend & maybe try to get her out to dinner. She's more home bound than I am. lol Then I'm off to get my nails done. I will do walking, weights & try to do some cardio.

God bless & HELP!!

.. but I admire you for thinking of others and being a great friend... and I am sure your husband appreciates the company... emoticon ... After all is said and done, set a some time aside for yourself, you deserve it emoticon

Take care ... ~ Dee ~ emoticon

I had to go to a neighbors yesterday b/c her Grandchildren came from out of town , they come every year and we get the call to drop everything and "come see the kids" I also did not feel like going bc we had things going on here but went. PS the booze helped! have fun at the wedding and try to get your hubby out early and then just do what Dee wants to do. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I hear ya! I had to drive to Milwaukee today for a 60th anniversary party and really didn't feel like going. So glad I went now! Had a great time. Also got to see an elderly cousin who is in assisted living.

I was reminded today that you can never please everyone all of the time so you must ensure you don't 'cheat' your own self in the process - BALANCE is always key.

Be sure to set and keep good boundaries (as you seem to)...

I love Bill Cosby, and I love that idea. Thanks.

It sounds like you do love to help other people and I think that is wonderful, but don't forget you need to spend time helping yourself! Don't be affraid to politely say no if you don't want to do something! It is hard the first time you do it, but after that you will feel better inside! I am not saying don't help people, but you can't try to fit so much into one day that you are spending most all of your time feeling stressed because there isn't any time left!
Do something fun to reward yourself today! Most of all be good to yourself when nobody else will! Have a great Memorial weekend and stay focused! emoticon
