Sorry it's not edited, I can't find my editing software and don't want to take the time away from my family to look for it.

I understand the need to pull back a bit. FB and blogger and a couple of other online time sinks have really done a number on me.. well let me rephrase that... i have allowed them to take up way to much of my time so I totally get what you are saying. I also understand the whole relying on others for feedback because i do that as well. I pretty much stopped posting anything on FB and my blog (outside of spark), I am really trying to actively change that mentality. I hope you find what you are looking for and I will be rooting for you. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Obviously you had a lot more to say. :) And it was all valuable. I've been feeling similar issues (tho I don't have kids) - I need to focus my time and efforts in better, more meaningful directions. This week has been great and truly is the start of a wonderful summer.

Yes, disable it!! I can't tell you how much happier I am in only the short time that I got off of facebook and disabled the blog reader. I only read blogs here now and I don't miss seeing what others are doing (how much fun they are having, what wonderful mothers they are, etc.) on bit. It has truly lifted my spirits and given me my voice back and I feel joy again. More time for bible reading too and more time for spark. It's so easy to be systematic here in a way not possible with facebook or general blog reading and it eliminates a lot of wasted time. Visit friends, post on their blogs so they know they are loved {{}}, put in food, check status feed and then work through the sparkpoint page just doing a few things to get a few extra points. It all results in helping myself and others. It's so freeing in a way that facebook never can be.

I think we should always be self aware enough to know and understand our needs...and then to have the courage to follow through. Good for you for doing so!

It sounds like you have done lots of soul searching lately, and are finding the solutions that will work for you. Good luck with your bible study, I hope that it helps you to find peace in your life.

I had to get off facebook because it was taking too much of my time too! Unfortunately, I've been allowing Sparks to consume my time.

One of my goals was to not even turn on the computer until I spent time in God's word and be in His presence.

emoticon I'm sorry to say I haven't been doing that BUT..... I know through accountability I CAN. We should hold ourselves accountable to one another and any of our team members that want to join in. What do you think???

We need to put God His rightful place. I hope you take me up on keeping me accountable.

Blessings on you my sister.

I like how I said at about 0:47 that was all I had to say and then I continued talking for another 3 minutes.
