DAY 03 - Shoulders & Arms + Ab Ripper X

I LOVE LOVE LOVE lifting weights!!! Goodness!

In the beginning of this workout, I openly admit that I may have overestimated my abilities! I started out with the Alternating Shoulder Press lifting 20 lbs, just because I told myself I could push it out. And I did it-- but not without tweaking my shoulders a little. Can you say OUCHIE?! Needless to say, I did it again for the second Shoulder Press but doggone it, I had to put my ego in CHECK. I continued everything else with 10s and 8s. Fortunately, I managed through the rest of the workout with little problem, and I'm proud of myself :)

I'm thankful for a dear friend of mine who helped me acquire some new weights-- the resistance bands just weren't doing it anymore! The weights definitely take the workouts to a whole new level! My new goal is to be able to curl the 20s, and eventually 30s. I'm willing to take one day at a time to attain this goal, and not be so hard on myself because I'm not where I thought I should be.

All that matters is doing my best, and I'm glad because I did it today. One day at a time!!

Mmm... Can't wait for some Yoga X tomorrow! I miss my balance postures and astangas!
