My son will be going to a Mission's Camp this summer...

Saturday, May 22, 2010

I wanted to share with all my friends to be praying for my oldest son. He will be at a missions camp for 3 weeks this summer... seeking God's will for his life. He began looking into missions this past year, and is looking at third world countries. This camp is specifically geared to teaching missionaries heading to a third world country. The camp setting is very primitive, and they will teach everything from cooking, vehicle maintenance, living off the land, water sources, etc. I appreciate your prayers for him!! Thank you!

What a nice thing to choose to do. I do hope he enjoys every minute of it and learns a lot---especially what the Lord wants him to do.

I'm excited to see young people being called to the mission field. When I pray for God to send workers into His harvest, these individuals are answers to those prayers. As parents I know you want them to find God's perfect will for their lives.... how awesome to see God working things out.

That is FANTASTIC!!!! I just love to hear stories of our young people seeking the Lord's will for their lives! What is the name of this camp? Can you sparkmail it to me? I know a few of our youth have surrendered to work in the mission field and may be interested in something like this. It sounds like a great camp that will provide him with somewhat of a view of what life is like in those countries.

I will definitely be praying for your son as he waits to hear from the Lord! My son just told me that he believes the Lord is leading him to France for his mission work. He is currently studying Missonary at Hyles-Anderson College.

That is so wonderful that your son is seeking the Lord's will for his life and open to the Holy Spirit's leading. I will surely pray for your son to learn all he can learn and for the Lord's continued leading in his life.

I was just sitting here thinking about my oldest nephew when I saw your blog. He is graduating from high school this month and surprised us a couple of months ago with the news that he is planning to attend Bible college and believes the mission field may be where God is calling him. My sister is in awe at what an incredible young man he has grown into (as am I and the rest of our family), but we also know it's such a hard road, so we're praying for direction and wisdom for him. I'll be keeping your son in my prayers, also. I'm sure this will be an incredible experience for him! Take care!

Jesus I lift Margie's son up to you. Jesus I ask that your will be done in his life. Jesus plz be with him while he is at camp. Make it real to him if this is what you want him to learn and why. If it is in your will for him, then I ask that you speak through him to Margie and hubby and the family this is your desire for him to go into missions. I pray your wisdom, grace, peace and protection over his life Jesus. In your name I pray this amen.

I'll be praying for him, what a great experience even if he realizes he is called to something else. How old is he? Is the camp far from where you live?
