Serial Yo-yoer turning herself in

Friday, May 21, 2010

Ok so this is my first week on the Spark and I think I'm in looove.

There are so many supportive people here! So many great ideas! Recipes! Tracking devices!

As a self-admitted yo-yoer, I've been up and down the scale so many times in the past 10 years I've got emotional whiplash. My personal "high" was 300, and the lowest I've been was 190 (which at 5'11" and big-boned, was just fine!) But the only way I got that low was by drinking one slimfast and dinner. Every day. For 6 months.

So, needless to say, I'm ready to start becoming someone who can proudly tell others that yes! I have lost weight! and not be ashamed to tell them HOW I'm doing it.

This is one yo-yoer who's ready to put down the toys and become an adult. finally.

Good luck! Slim fast shakes are costly and while they may work in the short term, I don't think anyone can keep up that "diet" for too long. On the other hand, the SparkPeople lifestyle CAN be done long term. That's the difference...it's a lifestyle, not a diet.
