Couch to 5K: Week 1

I finished C25K week 1 last night! I'm excited by how well it went, but I'm nervous by how fast it went! I feel OK to move on, but if I'm being completely honest, I'm scared of getting to week 5. I know I shouldn't be looking that far ahead, but... what can I say?

Days 2 and 3 were easier than day 1 because I knew what to expect. I went into it without all of the anxiety of the unknown.

I'm using the Ullrey podcasts which make everything so much easier. I can just focus on the task at hand without having to worry about keeping track of time or intervals or whatever.

I'm doing my C25K program on the treadmill. I'm trying to decide if I need to take some of my days outdoor or not.

I was hoping to incorporate C25K with P90X, but this week was a rough one for me regarding my kids and sleep so next week will be a P90X Phase II, Week 3 do over. I don't want to miss out on any of that P90X goodness.

    I know how you feel -- I'm on week 4, and every week I'm nervous but after that first day, it's okay. I look forward to it!

Running outside is a lot more effective. The treadmill does not properly replicate what it's like to actually run, although it's better than jogging in place.

    Great job! I know what you mean about trying to do doubles...P90X and running. There is never enough time. Keep up the great work. Very proud of YOU!!!

    Don't worry about week 5. Trust me, as one who has been at week 5 and beyond, you'll be amazed at how strong you are and how much your endurance has increased once you get there. It is a fantastic feeling. You go, girl!
