I have been pretty bad for the past month (slash year) and I finally decided yesterday that I was seriously ready to make some changes. I'm focusing on eating really healthy foods and cleansing my system. This isnt a cleanse like some of the crazy ones - I'm trying to eat around 1300 calories a day which is pretty low but still enough that I'm getting all my nutrients. I'm basically just eating healthy food and trying to eat clean as much as possible - fruits, veggies, whole grains, healthy fats, cutting out most processed foods. I'm feeling great. I weighed myself yesterday - 170 - and then today the scale said 165! It's crazy how just cutting out the crap for one day really jump starts my health and weight loss! Another great moment happened a little while ago. I made myself a super healthy smoothie - strawberries, banana, greek yogurt, milk, ice - yesterday and did not really enjoy it. But today I decided to have another since it's really healthy and has a lot of protein and calcium. Exactly the same smoothie, but today when I tasted it I really enjoyed it because it just TASTES healthy. I could feel it doing my body good and that made me feel great!!! I hope I can stick with this healthy plan I'm following and finally lose some weight!
