Spoke too soon...

I think all the stresses, the stresses that I handled so well, melted into a cold. Boo. I have two weeks until the triathlon, and a cold? Please?

Yesterday I was getting packed up to go to the gym and swim, when I convinced myself to lay on the bed. It was like my sane, motherly instinct put me down to sleep. I crashed into a deep slumber and woke up 3 hours later. And I was sick. Boo.

On the upside I am feeling strong. Fortunately it is hanging around the face. My body and energy level feels great. I am going to stretch all this yuck out of me with a little Bikrams Hot Yoga.

    Remember that endurance athletes are more prone to colds...endurance is good for the body and mind and tough on the immune system. Get plenty of rest, Vit. C and D. Tapering a week too early is okay too, just work out easily next week. All will be fine! emoticon

    Workout through the cold. I'm not sure if this works for everyone but I got my cold to go away in just two days because I kept exercising. My husband's lasted a week. Oh, that and Halls Vitamin C drops. Yum!
