Slow, small steps= progress

I'm back to the gym!
I picked myself up, went out and got a bathing suit that fits, and have returned to the gym. I am going to water aerobics twice a week at the Y. Wonderful group of people.

I also started physical therapy at "Back to Basics". They have given me hope that I will be able to work through this injury and walk normally again. It's just going so SLOW and I'm frustrated. I walked a great deal on saturday and really have "felt it" since that time.

I have started "digging out the house". Donated three bags of clothing to Goodwill, throwing away things that are broken or not in good enough repair for GW.

I believe this is all about taking things a bite at a time instead of trying to devour everything in sight. I have also discovered the wellness articles- I am going to use "I" statements today.

I have the power to succeed
I have the tools right here to help me
I have choices everyday, today I choose to value myself and take the steps to get going and get Healthy!

    good positive blog. water aerobics i never thought of that as an option but maybe this winter if my town has it. you are doing great. i love that you spring cleaned and gave things away to charity. emoticon emoticon

    emoticon I personally love water aerobics class! Spring cleaning is always a chore, one I don't get done every spring but I definitely feel better when I manage to do some.

    WOOHOO!! I know that feels good to be back! I'm so glad to hear good things are happening for you now! I know how that feels. I've had enough sickness and injuries, and I know how that can inhibit progress and just generally get you down. Good for you for jumping back in and not giving up, I'm proud of you! That's great about the goodwill stuff. I know how that feels, I'm doing that right now too. I have a chair full of stuff right now that needs to go out this weekend :) Looking forward to the next bit of good news!

    Good for you on all counts! I hear water aerobics works wonders. The PT is also a great idea. The spring cleaning is great as well. I have become a firm believer in getting rid of the larger size clothing!
