After two weeks of not running at all, I was feeling really good and I thought I'd try and jog 3 miles Saturday morning. Achilles felt good for about the first mile and then started to feel "funny" (not sore, but just not right). I kept going, just at a little slower pace, and then just after the half-way point, I felt it "pull" and had to stop. I walked the rest of the way home with a sore Achilles wondering what in the world is causing this and will I EVER be able to run again! On top of that, my tennis elbow seems worse than ever! I went out and bought a bike yesterday, thinking I have to do SOMETHING or I'm going to really get depressed! I could kick myself in the **s for getting so out of shape! I had no issues whatsoever, was lifting heavy weights, jogging, and doing high-impact step before my 18-month hiatus! What was I thinking?!!! Now, I'm at a loss of what to do. Maybe I should go see an Orthopedic Specialist and get a professional opinion on how to deal with these injuries! At this point, I'm thinking the 5K at the end of June is out.
