Friday morning I had a review of my progress and fitness routine at Lady Zone with one of the personal trainers.
There is so much focus on numbers when trying to lose weight. Especially numbers on the scale. I told myself that this time though my focus would not be on losing weight but on becoming healthier.
I think that is what my numbers are showing since I first started going to Lady Zone in February.
Weight: Up 4 pounds
Body fat: down 2%
Waist: down 1/2 inch
Hips: down 0.4 inch
Thigh: down 0.8 inch
Upper arm: no change
Energy level remains high
Stress level remains low
Blood pressure in February was 131/87; blood pressure Friday was 125/87 - after a 1 mile brisk walk from home to the gym
So, looking at the numbers - I am quite pleased. I am obviously getting fitter. No, the numbers on the scale haven't dropped, but my body fat % is decreasing.
I think that is something to celebrate!
